Since 1996 Musicbox Studios has been providing the best rehearsal and recording rooms in Wales.
Ctrl Alt Design were approached to give them a long overdue re-brand. We created a brand new logo and badge icon, alongside a range of print materials and a responsive contemporary website.
Since 2015 we’ve been creating graphics for the annual Welsh Music Prize. The work includes posters, social media graphics and the development and maintenance of their website:
Sound+Vision‘s event featured seven musicians alongside one filmmaker. 8 reels of super 8 were filmed throughout Wales, capturing the juxtaposition between the natural and the industrial. The soundtrack was played improvised and played live at the Reardon Smith Lecture Theatre, National Museum Cardiff.
The artists involved were… Cian Ciarán, Esther, The Gentle Good, Teddy Hunter, Kris Jenkins, Secondson, Meilyr Tomos & Toby Cameron.

Lazerbeam is a TV, radio and music production company in Cardiff. They produce distinctive factual, history and music-based documentaries made out of Wales.

Independent Venues Week promotes music at grassroots venues across the UK each year. We were approached to design posters and social media graphics for the 2019 schedule in Wales.
Since 2012, we have been working with Menter Caerdydd to visualise their annual Welsh Language Arts & Culture festival, Tafwyl. The event is held in Cardiff every July and on this page you can see the range of design and web services provided by Ctrl Alt Design.

For The Gentle Good’s 4th studio album, ‘Ruins / Adfeilion’, Ctrl Alt Design created the artwork for vinyl and CD using the process of marbling. The theme has been built upon and various single covers have been created to mirror this artwork. Alongside this we created a responsive, mobile-friendly website and both an album launch and promo poster.
Its sister release, ‘Y Gwyfyn’, saw the theme developed to a new colour palette with a matching smokey purple vinyl pressing. The Welsh language EP featured additional tracks from the album’s recording session, as well as previously unreleased tracks.
